Mashable Social Good Conference Official Promotional Video.

This weekend’s Social Good Conference, hosted by Mashable, will pack a punch as global leaders discuss how social media and technology can be leveraged for civic good. Attendees from across the globe will congregate at New York City’s 92 Street Y in an attempt to address a poignant question: “How can new technology and new media create solutions for the biggest problems facing my community?” The timely event is intended to complement the United Nation’s upcoming General Assembly meeting. Featured speakers will include, among others, Mashable’s CEO and Founder Pete Cashmore, Actress and UN Goodwill Ambassador Mira Sorvino, Actor Forest Whitaker and PBS Newshour’s Christina Bellantoni. A full list of the speakers, conference agenda and ticket information can be found on the official conference website.

For those unable to attend the conference, Mashable is encouraging the public to gather on Monday, September 24th via Meetups in their respective cities.Visit the Mashable Meetup Everywhere page to find a Social Good Summit meetup in your city, or, plan your own meeting. Mashable’s goal is to highlight the voices and ideas of people everywhere, both during and after the Social Good Summit event.
