If a drone captured the New York Public Library’s first scavenger hunt two years ago that we attended, it would have seen some 500 people frantically searching for the hundred treasures buried within the library’s seventy miles of stacks. But Nate Bolt of boltron.com shot the first ever drone footage inside of the NYPL just yesterday in cooperation with NYPL Labs. While the library is normally a place of quiet and solitude, it was especially empty during this night as the library workers reorganized shelves and visitors silently went about their work. The camera swoops in and up through Astor Hall and into the iconic reading room in a marvelous slo-mo.
