New York City Coffee Map Butterfruit Labs Untapped Cities

Luckily for those of us in Brooklyn and Queens, Butterfruit Labs’ awesome coffee subway map has been updated to include the coffee shops in (parts of) those boroughs! Nirmal Banerjee of Butterfruit Labs confirms what we already knew:

A few lines, such as the L and the G, had fierce competition. Other stops (ahem, Woodside and Corona – and come on Barclays Center) had our researchers struggling to find one good cup.

Several of the coffee shops on the map, including Toby’s Estate, AP Café, Brooklyn Roasting Company, and Smith Canteen, were featured on our list of the Top 10 Coffee Shops in Brooklyn (For Design Buffs). Others, including Propeller, Jane Motorcycles and Spina, were left off this list. Still, we have to thank Butterfruit Labs for this fun map. It looks like we have a lot more coffee shops to visit now!

I guess the Bronx has no coffee shops…sigh.

Among the many fun coffee shops NOT on the list are The Hidden Cottage and Piece of Cake, both on New Dorp Lane, Staten Island. The MTA’s Staten Island Railway takes you there from the Ferry to New Dorp Station.
