It’s that time of year. Music in the parksfilms under the stars and lots of bar and restaurant crawls. Summer Sizzles on Lenox Avenue in Harlem is back for a second year next Tuesday with the $5 cocktail and appetizer special and an impressive lineup of restaurants.  So if you haven’t been, here’s your chance to try a dozen of them – all at once. This is our illustrated guide to what to see on the Summer Sizzles crawl in Harlem!

This year, the popular event takes place on Tuesday, July 15th (postponed due to weather to July 22nd) and will run from 6pm to 10pm.  You can check in at either LaBodega 47 (corner of Lenox Avenue and 117th Street) or Carver Bank located at 75 West 125th Street (just east of the #2/3) to pick up your map and bracelet.  The bracelet lets the participating venues know that you are on the Crawl.

You’ll have a dozen fabulous restaurants to choose from that will take you from Lenox Avenue and 117th Street to Lenox Avenue and 128th Street.  Besides the restaurants painted here, we spied Harlem ShakeCheriBarawine and an old fav, Sylvia’s on the list–just to name a few.

If you buy your tickets online before midnight on July 14th, you can take advantage of the Two for One price of $10.  Otherwise, it’s $10 at the door.  This is an easy Crawl to get to, since it runs from the 2/3 lines at Lenox Avenue and 116th Street to the 2/3 on Lenox Avenue and 125th Street.

This event was such a big hit last year that it sold out – even in the rain.  A portion of each purchase will be donated to Global Language Project.
