14-16 Fabulous Fanny’s, Cadillac Castle, and Glasgow Vintage
There are three great vintage shops in a row on East 9th Street beginning with Fabulous Fanny’s, located at 335 East 9th Street. They have both men’s and women’s vintage clothing, jewelry, and purses–but they’re best known for a nice selection of vintage eyewear, including antique spectacles dating back as far as the 1700s. Their eyewear is often used for Broadway shows and movies.
Right next door to Fabulous Fanny’s, you will find Cadillac’s Castle, the high-end designer consignment shop named after the owners dog, Cadillac. Here we found a mix of vintage Alexander Wang, Helmut Lang and Valentino with some interesting new pieces.
Continuing onto the next shop of this trilogy, we came upon a newcomer, Glasgow Vintage at 331 East 9th Street. Here you will find Scottish vintage for men, women and children. The shop is owned by a couple who owned a shop in Scotland for twenty years and moved to the U.S. last year. Lots of Harris tweed, colorful wool sweaters and plaid shirts.
