It’s a busy week for New York City with plenty of events unfolding in April, from the City Reliquary Museum’s annual Collectors’ Night to an after hours tour of the Museum of the City of New York.

Saturday, April 8th

Boroughs of the Dead is hosting its newest walking tour: Titanic Graves of Woodlawn Cemetery, led by veteran guide and Titanic expert Dave Gardner who will lead guests through the Gilded Age cemetery while sharing stories from the past.

The City Reliquary Museum’s annual Collectors’ Night is taking place at the New York City Fire Museum this weekend. Every year, archivist and “packrats” come together to present their quirky collections.

The Downtown Urban Arts Festival (DUAF), presented by Creative Ammo Inc., is kicking off this Saturday. The five-week multi-disciplinary arts event will offer cultural events in theater, film, music and poetry at various venues in downtown Manhattan.

Sunday, April 9th

Atlas Obscura is holding its History Hiding in Plain Sight: Bushwick Scavenger Hunt, taking place on Sunday. Uncover the hidden treasures of Bushwick alongside artist Lisa Brenner and map scientist Stuart Lynn.

Monday, April 10th

Go back in time to the 19th century with a historic walking tour of Noho, when the ‘Bond Street area” was home to Astors, Vanderbilts, Delanos and the Tredwells, who lived in the Merchant’s House.

Tuesday, April 11th

Explore the Little Hell Gate Salt Marsh with NYC Department of Parks; learn about the history of the island while viewing wildlife up close.

Wednesday, April 12th

Join New York Open House for a tour of the Goodwill Industries’ regional hub (for the NY/NJ area) and the Big Reuse (formerly Build It Green NYC) warehouse.

Thursday, April 13th

Renowned expert on maritime history, Bill Miller, will discuss the history and development of the port of New York in a comprehensive talk, “Gateway to the World: The Great Port of New York.”

Explore Brooklyn’s blooming flowers with a combo-ticket to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and the exhibition Georgia O’Keeffe: Living Modern at the Brooklyn Museum.

Friday, April 14th

Join New York Adventure Club for an after-hours tour of the Museum of the City of New York, which will take you through its newest exhibition New York At Its Core.
