Coffee and a View at Café Marly at the Louvre in Paris

Well,  one of the best views at least–there are so many!  The outdoor seating area is under the north wing of the museum, overlooking the Louvre Courtyard and the Pyramid, with a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower. The vaulted ceilings are impossibly high and feature intricate carvings and birds fly freely, perching on the heat lamps above. The interior restaurant is two floors with a balcony patio.The waiters dress in very skinny black suits and a skinny black tie and numerous hostet.sses seat you wearing outfits appropriate for a night out.

And finally, I never seem to remember to take pictures until after we’ve scarfed down all the great desserts and drinks. There’s a full menu but I recommend the sorbet and the hot chocolate.
