This weekend’s Social Good Conference, hosted by Mashable, will pack a punch as global leaders discuss how social media and technology can be leveraged for civic good. Attendees from across the globe will congregate at New York City’s 92 Street Y in an attempt to address a poignant question: “How can new technology and new media create solutions for the biggest problems facing my community?” The timely event is intended to complement the United Nation’s upcoming General Assembly meeting. Featured speakers will include, among others, Mashable’s CEO and Founder Pete Cashmore, Actress and UN Goodwill Ambassador Mira Sorvino, Actor Forest Whitaker and PBS Newshour’s Christina Bellantoni.
