What’s your “day job”?
I am an Associate Marketing Manager at CBS Interactive, working on the Entertainment and News brands.
What’s your favorite Untapped spot in your city?
The private dining rooms at Freemans restaurant in the Lower East Side. It is my favorite restaurant in New York and the spot is tucked away at the end of Freemans Alley.
Favorite piece you’ve written for Untapped?
I think my favorite has to be one of my very first pieces about hidden bars in NYC. The research was definitely a lot of fun and it was a great excuse to put my bar-going to good use.
What’s your favorite Untapped place you’ve visited while traveling? Where do you want to visit next?
There is this amazing, secluded beach just past Golfe Juan en route to Juan les-Pins in the south of France. I could stay there everyday for the rest of my life—it is simply breathtaking. I would like to go to Brazil next, hopefully during the World Cup next year and see a few soccer matches.
What’s your favorite obscure fact about your city?
“The Big Apple” was the catchphrase of New York Morning Telegraph track writer John J. Fitz Gerald in the 1920s. Also at it roots  the “Big Apple” racing circuit had meant “the big time,” the place where the big money was to be won. “The Big Apple” became the name of a club in Harlem in 1934, and Harlem itself was referred to as “the Apple” at this time.
Craziest thing you’ve ever done?
Bungee jumping off of a bridge in New Zealand.
Best Celebrity Sighting?
Meeting Josh Groban at Sleep No More in NYC. I am a huge fan of his music and being able to speak to him, albeit brief, was amazing.
If you could be any animal what would it be?
I would definitely be a Puma – fast, sleek, and a bit mysterious.
What are some of your favorite websites?
My favorite three websites are La blogothèque – simply the coolest music videos being produced, they film musicians performing acoustically around different metropolitan cities; New York Magazine – I love the op-eds and follow columnist Jonathan Chait; Wit & Delight – she has an amazing eye for aesthetics.
