How to Make a Subway Map with John Tauranac
Hear from an author and map designer who has been creating maps of the NYC subway, officially and unofficially, for over forty years!
With all the talk of the guy selling rocks from Brooklyn, we were reminded of this Etsy listing by Prague-based photographer Kirill Rudenko selling Canned Air from various cities. These $10 cans of air have various positive effects, as the listing describes, each can “relieves stress, cures homesickness and helps fighting nostalgia.”
The air from places including New York City, Salt Lake City, Paris, Berlin, Barcelona, Prague, Venice, London, Rīga, Curaçao, and Tokyo are currently for sale. The medium-sized cans are meant to be a small souvenir and they even have a return policy! Here are some of the quirky descriptions and graphic city skylines for these cans:
New York City – *also available in 800 most commonly used languages in NYC. *May contain traces of Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens or Staten Island.
