Google Glass Untapped Cities Scavenger Hunt

Thanks to readers and supporters, we were fortunate to be part of the Google Glass Explorers program. We promised to create unique content using  Glass, which we brought to the 90th floor of 1 World Trade Center under construction and the epic Santiago Calatrava Transit Hub. We even took it to the fancy Dîner en Blanc at Bryant Park in September.

This Sunday, October 27th, we’re taking Glass on a city-wide scavenger hunt, whose path will be determined by YOU! Submit your favorite “untapped” locations via Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #untappedcities and we’ll go in search of them. We also welcome any of you to join us at any point in the day.

Joining us on this Google Glass scavenger hunt will be urban explorer Moses Gates, author of Hidden Cities, Grantland writer extraordinaire Rembert Browne, Will Ellis of Abandoned NYC, Untapped Cities founder Michelle Young, Untapped columnist Luke Kingma and two donors to our IndieGogo campaign.

We’re looking for suggestions across all categories, not just architecture. We want you do determine where we eat, what we see, who we come across. The more obscure and weird the better. We’ll be documenting everything via Google Glass and social media. We’ll also be looking for the latest Banksy, of course and stopping by 5 Pointz.

We’re taking suggestions immediately, so direct us to your favorite spots in the city. Contact us here, hashtag #untappedcities on Twitter and Instagram, or comment on Facebook. Find out the meet-up location by filling out the form below:
