How to Make a Subway Map with John Tauranac
Hear from an author and map designer who has been creating maps of the NYC subway, officially and unofficially, for over forty years!
For three days this spring, Matt Felsen, a student at Parsons Design + Technology will set up classic binocular viewers in different parts of the city. Instead of a present day view, the viewers by Tower Optical Co., a partner in Felson’s masters thesis project “Lost Landmarks,” will show historic photographs of the same location. The first day is tomorrow and Lost Landmarks will be set up on 14th Street, just west of 6th Avenue. Following dates are on May 3rd and May 6th, location to be announced.
