JumpIn! at Pearlfisher’s Soho offices
JumpIn!, located in the creative agency Pearlfisher in Soho, has taken New York by storm. Opened last Friday to the public, the ball pit for adults contains 80,000 snow-white balls, the brainchild of the company’s Senior Creative Strategist, Jack Hart.
Inspired by playful days in the snow, JumpIn! was originally a chance for employees at the Pearlfischer Gallery in Hammersmith, United Kingdom to engage in their inner child and take a break from their stress. It was so successful, the firm opened up the installation to the public for free, with a suggested minimal donation to the charity Right to Play. Now, Pearlfisher New York is hosting JumpIn! in their Soho offices, located in a converted textile warehouse and spread over two big open floors with three roof terraces.
While the hundreds of people who signed up to JumpIn! were bouncing among the balls and taking selfies, the Pearlfisher staff was actually hard at work on long tables in the open floor-plan warehouse space, or working on one of the three outdoor terraces (photos below) on their laptops. This installation is located next to their reception area, right off the elevator, which is in full view of their staff.
These are new offices for Pearlfischer in New York City, which was previously located in the Flatiron District. JumpIn!, which opened on August 21, will run through September 21st. It is open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 5 pm, but you must reserve your spot. While it is free, a $5 donation is suggested, and no children under the age of 10 will be admitted.
