6. Mercer Street Books & Records
Mercer Street Books and Records has been at the same location for more than twenty-five years. It is a treasure-trove of out-of-print books, and records, with an occasional new books sprinkled in.
We might also mention that in 2011, Mercer Street Books acquired the personal library of the social realist painter and satirist, Jack Levine, who lived not far from the shop on Morton Street. Mercer Street Books & Records is located at 206 Mercer Street in Greenwich Village.
