A new map, made by Patricio Gonzalez Vivo, an MFA Design and Technology Candidate at Parsons and graphic engineer at Mapzen, takes inspiration from the work of Paris-based artist and composer Ryoji Ikeda, who makes large-scale audiovisual installations around the world. Taking the city streets and buildings as the setting, Vivo animates the traffic and lights of the city of New York. But the interactive map, discovered by City Lab and located here, can be zoomed in and out to other cities as well.
