07-Beetlejuice Weddng-BBQ FIlms-NYC-House of Yes-Untapped Cities_14

We can always count on BBQ Films to bring us back to the ’80s. On March 20th, Beetlejuice will invite New York City’s living and undead to celebrate his nuptials to Lydia Deetz at the House of Yes in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Your job, should you choose to attend Beetlejuice’s Wedding, is to help foil it. Two ticket levels, where you can join the “Wedding Party” are already sold out, but you can still be a plain old wedding guest which comes with a screening of the 1988 film starring Michael Keaton, Alec Baldwin, Winona Ryder, and Geena Davis, attendance at the wedding of Beatlejuice and Lydia Deetz, a limited edition poster, BBQ Films gourmet popcorn, and access to the “undead photo booth,” all amidst the immersive entertainment spectacle typical of a BBQ Films event, including they say, “sand snakes, sculptures of questionable taste, the recently deceased, and quality calypso.”

This event also benefits the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media. Check out our coverage of previous BBQ Films events, including Patrick Bateman’s 27th Birthday (American Psycho), aboard the Fhloston Paradise from the 5th Element, the secret lair of the Foot Clan from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a 1985 high school prom from Back to the Future, a Weekend at Bernie’s, a hangout with the crew from Empire Records, and a Blade Rave from Blade Runner.
