South Street Seaport has a beautiful new resident. It is the historic sailing vessel, Wavertree. Built in 1885, the Wavertree arrived in New York City ten years later, en route to Calcutta. The ship was acquired by the South Street Seaport Museum in 1968 and recently underwent a major renovation.
