And that no one knows what the original stain glass looks like? Join us on February 23 as we explore the majestic Eldridge Street Synagogue, a staple institution in the Lower East Side for 128 years.

Discover more about this stunning structure’s architecture, embellishments, history and secrets on our after-hours tour, in partnership with the Museum at Eldridge Street. In addition, the Museum at Eldridge Street archivist will present the its latest exhibition: “Jewish Ghetto in Postcards”. In captivating color and stark black and white, this exhibition of original postcards from the Blavatnik Archive recalls vanished places in the United States and Eastern Europe that are at the heart of the Jewish immigrant experience.
