Weaving in moments from The Eternal Space—a play about an untold story of the destruction of Penn Station featuring over 1,000 never before published photographs of the station—our tour of the Remnants of Penn Station will cover the past, present and future plans for the central transportation hub in New York City. Join us on a hunt for the remaining pieces of the grand McKim, Mead & White station (of which there are many)! Learn insider navigation tips and see never-before-seen old station photos from the collections of three photographers who documented Penn’s life and demolition. Each guest will also receive a framable, reproduction ticket of the first commuter ride into Pennsylvania Station from 1910.

VIP Tour of the Woolworth Building: Saturday, June 10th at 4pm

Woolworth Building-Lobby-Interior-Irving National Bank-Vault-Cass Gilbert-NYC Untapped Cities is excited to offer this new, Untapped Cities-exclusive tour of the normally off-limits Woolworth Building led by building architect Cass Gilbert’s great granddaughter, Helen Post Curry, who runs the Woolworth Building tours. Cass Gilbert was Curry’s paternal great grandfather and she began running tours in the Woolworth Building on the 100th anniversary of the landmark. As Curry says herself, “there are so many behind-the-scenes “secrets” about the Woolworth Building” and we’re excited to share them with you on this special, insider tour that will take you to the gorgeous mezzanine level, the bank vault in the building’s cellar, its former entrances to the subway and the spectacular “cathedral-esque” lobby.
