We’ve been following the progress of Staten Island’s New York Wheel (the world’s largest observation wheel) for some time now, and we’re very excited to host our final behind-the-scenes tour about the project on June 15th. Join us for the special event this Thursday at 5:30pm, which will be led by New York Wheel CEO and visionary Rich Marin. You’ll learn about the progress of the project, hear from the experts directly involved in its construction and witness the first-hand the transformation of Staten Island’s St. George waterfront.
When completed, the New York Wheel will measure 630-feet tall — that’s 80 feet higher than the High Roller in Las Vegas (currently the tallest observation wheel in the world). It’s all part of the St. George Waterfront Restoration Program, a $1.2 billion endeavor, which seeks to transform the Staten Island waterfront into a world-class destination that includes a 350,000 square-feet retail complex with 100 different retail shops, two hotels and more.
What to bring: Closed toe shoes are mandatory.
What to know: The tour is 1.5 hours long.
