New renderings of the Domino Sugar Factory give us a deeper look into the interior space and perhaps more interestingly, what looks like a glass dome. The recent design of the Williamsburg space is being transformed by Vishaan Chakrabarti‘s Practice for Architecture and Urbanism (PAU), replacing the Beyer Blinder Belle’s Landmarks-approved design.

The renderings below have been released ahead of a presentation in front of the Landmarks Preservation Commission which is being held today. The dome completes the building, creating it into a single monumental structure. The vaulted barrel shape sits begins inside the structure, sitting inside of it without touching the factory’s historic walls.
