Private Tour of Carnegie Hall
Join an exclusive tour of the famed Manhattan music venue which dates to 1891!
Untapped Cities Insiders is a members-only club that offers free access to the city’s most off-limits places, free tours and talks, and many other benefits. For our first event, we’ll be bringing Insiders on a Behind the Scenes Tour Inside New York City’s City Hall, one of the oldest continuously used city halls in the nation. New York’s City Hall is considered one of the finest architectural achievements of its period. Constructed from 1803 to 1812, the building was an early expression of the City’s cosmopolitanism. City Hall is a designated New York City landmark, and its rotunda is a designated interior landmark as well.
On this tour, led by a City Hall docent, learn about the building’s history, art, architecture, and civic function, access places inside City Hall including the landmarked rotunda and City Council Chamber, and step inside the Governor’s Room, a reception room that houses the City Hall Portrait Collection and historic furnishing, including a desk used by George Washington.
