2. You Can Still See Items from George Washington’s Inauguration at Museums Today

The stone where George Washington stood to take the Oath of Office, the Masonic Bible, the railing from the former Federal Hall, George Washington’s inaugural suit and other souvenirs of the day are at several museums throughout the country.

You can visit the site of the first inauguration, see the stone where George Washington stood and see the St. John’s Lodge Masonic Bible at Federal National Memorial at 26 Wall Street. (Disclaimer: often times such iconic pieces of our country’s may be on loan to other institutions.)
