How to Make a Subway Map with John Tauranac
Hear from an author and map designer who has been creating maps of the NYC subway, officially and unofficially, for over forty years!
…And the votes are in! In partnership with Big Screen Plaza, we recently announced our #BigScreenNY photo contest last month, and put a call out for Instagram photos that celebrate New York City. After combing through the many wonderful submissions from our readers, we’ve chosen some of our favorites, which will now be featured on the 30-foot HD outdoor screen at Big Screen Plaza on 29th Street and 6th Avenue, next to Herald Square.
They’ll be on view starting today, from 12 to 1pm, and then in rotation throughout the day until the end of the month. Thank you to all those that participated!
Interested in being featured next? Hashtag #UntappedCitiesBigScreen and follow us on Instagram @untappedcities and @BigScreenNY to enter your photographs for future exhibitions under different themes! Stay tuned for updates.
