The Chelsea Music Festival is one of our favorite events all year in New York City. It manages to meld the arts together: music, taste, the visual arts, and architecture. The festival, which takes place all around Chelsea, finds unique venues to showcase events. This year’s venues include the General Theological Seminary, Chelsea Market, the Norwood Club, St. Paul’s German Lutheran Church, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, and Counter Culture Coffee. Previous festivals have included concerts in the Starrett-Lehigh building, where Untapped Cities’ offices are!

This year, the Chelsea Music Festival is celebrating the 333rd anniversary of composer J.S. Bach’s birthday and we’re excited to partner again with Chelsea Music Festival to offer free tickets to two events. Members of Untapped Cities Insiders can get free tickets to a concert on the stunning grounds of the General Theological Seminary with cello soloist Matt Haimovitz and festival cellists Jonathan Butler, Angela Lee, and Joseph Lee. The concert’s outdoor intermission reception will feature gelato sponsored by Chef Lorenzo Franchetti.

Untapped Cities Insiders can also get free tickets to a historical walking tour of Chelsea’s churches, led by President of Save Chelsea and neighborhood aficionado, Laurence Frommer. Registration for both events begins today at 12 PM EST.
