The Cooper Union’s new exhibit “Drawing Codes” will open at the Arthur A. Houghton Jr. Gallery on January 22nd. The new exhibit, the second in a series organized by the CCA Digital Craft Lab, explores how emerging design and production technologies impact the ways in which architects engage with traditional practices of architectural drawing and how rules inform the ways the built environment is documented, analyzed, represented, and designed. The exhibit consists of 24 experimental drawings commissioned for the exhibition by firms such as Aranda\Lasch, Höweler + Yoon, and Outpost Office. If you are an Untapped Cities Insiders, you can join a special curator led walkthrough of the exhibit on January 29th with Andrew Kudless, Adam Marcus and the Dean of The Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture, Nader Tehrani. The tour will be followed by a public roundtable and reception. Not an Insider yet? Become a member today to join behind-the-scenes tours and special events all year round!
