Though Roosevelt’s original Flatiron District birthplace was demolished in 1916, it was rebuilt after his death by the Women’s Roosevelt Memorial Association. The home was decorated with original furnishings provided by Roosevelt’s sisters and wife. Sixty percent of the items found in the home are Roosevelt heirlooms and the rest date from the 19th century.
