The Gilded Age mansions of Fifth Avenue are places few have the pleasure of stepping inside. This month, the The Cultural Services of the French Embassy housed inside the Stanford White designed Payne-Whitney mansion, will open its doors to Untapped Cities Insiders for a behind-the-scenes tour. On July 16th, join Insiders to see stunning interiors that are not accessible to the public. Learn more about the tour and book your spot below!

DATES: Tuesday, July 16th at 5:30-6:30PM

PRICE: FREE for Untapped Cities Insiders!

On a tour led by Adam Hocker of the Albertine Bookstore, Insiders will enter the McKim, Mead and White-designed mansion to discover a marble rotunda featuring a statue by Michelangelo, visit the Albertine Bookstore on the first floor, and look into the Rococo Venetian room, and a ballroom. Insiders will also gain access to the usually-closed offices of the Cultural Counselor on the third floor. As a special treat, the staff will pull out a dress from Marilyn Monroe that was found within the embassy and let you know how it got there!
