A mysterious portal has opened up next to Penn Station and the government is looking for volunteers to go through and find out what is on the other side. No, this isn’t the plot of a new sci-fi thriller, but the narrative explored in ZeroSpace, a new immersive art experience that blends mind-bending visuals with the latest cutting-edge technology. Untapped Cities Insiders are invited to be the first members of the public to step inside ZeroSpace, a one-hour journey which combines abstract art with an actor-driven narrative, on July 26th before it officially opens. After you are greeted by members of a covert government agency, you step through a reality-altering wormhole and into another dimension. Throughout the 25,000-square-foot installation space, guests will experience a dazzling display of never-before-seen art. Displayed using the latest technology, like lasers and projection mapping, the images of fluid patterns, optical illusions and sparkling lights mesmerize as you walk through the space at your will. “The amazing thing about immersive theatre is that it plops you into a completely new world where you can step outside of your self and break your own rules,” says ZeroSpace Co-Founder Jordan Lejuwaan.
