Untapped New York is excited to announce its partnership with Archtober 2019, a month long celebration of architecture and design in New York City during the month of October. Pronounced “ärk’töbər, the celebration features new exhibit openings, walking tours, expert-filled panel discussions, design competitions, and the signature Building of the Day tours which bring members of the public into a new amazing building everyday. Last year, guests gained access inside places like the TWA Hotel, Newtown Creek Water Pollution Control Plant, and Dock 72. The hundreds of events in this ninth annual festival are presented by the Center for Architecture and organized with more than sixty partners across all five boroughs. Like last year, Untapped Cities Insiders will be treated to reserved access to some of the month’s most exiting events for free.

There will be something different happening everyday of the month whether its a talk on the evolution of libraries or a walk with gardeners through Brooklyn’s Wave Hill. This year, Untapped Cities Insiders will get to attend for free this year include a cocktail event with Marlon Blackwell, Tod Williams, and Billie Tsien, a lecture by Thomas Phifer, FAIA, and the super fun Pumpkitecture pumpkin carving contest.
