Hosted at the Old Stone House and Washington Park in Brooklyn, the festival brings together natural fiber artists, crocheters, dyers, felters, knitters, quilters, spinners and weavers for an all-day marketplace with demonstrations, an art exhibit and more!

Celebrate Indigenous People’s Day on Randall’s Island. Throughout Sunday and Monday there will be performances by the
Redhawk Native American Dancers, spoken word performances, prayers and a sunrise ceremony. The festivities will take place in front of Icahn Stadium at Harlem River Field.

Attend the 13th Annual Arthur Rosenblatt Memorial Lecture with award-winning architect Thomas Phifer at the Center for Architecture. Attend a performance during the Honk NYC! 13th Annual International Brass Band Celebration. Running through October 19th, Honk NYC brings the tradition of global street band music and spectacle to audiences in parks, at clubs, in schools, and out in the streets. The celebration kicks off with a opening night dance party at the Market Hotel this evening.

Thursday, October 17th

Go on a behind-the-design tour of Hunter’s Point South Park with principals from the firms that designed the park. Thomas Balsley of SWA/Balsley and Micheal Manfredi of Weiss/Manfredi will lead guests on a tour of the architectural and sustainability and resiliency features of this waterfront park in Long Island City.

Attend a Halloween themed live podcast recording of Nevertheless She Existed: Horror Queens at the Lower East Side speakeasy Caveat. At this show, a line-up of female storytellers, comedians, and historians share the stories of some of the greatest women the world has ever known (but history erased).
