How to Make a Subway Map with John Tauranac
Hear from an author and map designer who has been creating maps of the NYC subway, officially and unofficially, for over forty years!
It’s the second week of our latest curation of the Name This Spot photo scavenger hunt series on the LinkNYC kiosks. Last week’s locations are now revealed: the Brooklyn Historical Society, City Hall, the Grace Building in Midtown and Father Duffy Square in Times Square! Below is a sampling of what’s on the kiosks now. You can submit your guesses on Instagram by tagging a post or story with @linknycofficial and @untappedcities. We’ll be revealing the locations on our own Instagram @untappedny and @linknycofficial each week.
Name This Spot launched in October and we’re back with a new batch of images across the five boroughs featuring some of the city’s most unique architecture in abstract, close-up angles. The second batch of mystery locations are live today on the kiosks, and we’ll be cycling in more each Tuesday over the next few weeks.
Three of the five locations revealed last week. Can you guess where they are?
