Friday, February 14th

Saturday, February 15th

The 2020 New York Botanical Garden Orchid Show Opens and its a stunner! Globally acclaimed designer Jeff Leatham has created a kaleidoscope of color.
Join us for our popular Underground Tour of the NYC Subway!
Our favorite Brooklyn-based orchestra The Knights will host its family show on Saturday, Mozart and The Knights. It’s a great event for kids and families (or check out The Knights’ performance schedule for adults).
From 11 to 5 PM, Fraunces Tavern will be hosting an open house with $1 admission for George Washington’s Birthday.
The Wyckoff House will host a cozy Family Lantern Light Day. They’ll be exploring forms of light from the Colonial era, and crafting our own tin lanterns to use at home.
Sunday, February 16th

At 2 PM, join us for a very special tour of Seneca Village with Central Park historian Marie Walsh.
We’ll be hosting our Untapped New York Insiders for a free visit to House of Showfields, the immersive art and retail experience at 2 PM with a personal guide from the Showfields team! Become an Insider and register here!
At 2PM at the Queens Museum, join a special event in celebration of the closing of Relative Fields in a Garden on the Queens Museum’s 140-foot-long Large Wall including an interactive virtual project and artist talk. Relative Fields in a Garden combines painter Heidi Howard’s vivid gestural painting with her mother Liz Phillips’ interactive soundwork, which uses wave transmissions that respond to the natural light of the museum’s atrium.
At 2 PM, the Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art on Staten Island will host a film screening of Shining Spirit. This film documents a recording project that brings together the exiled family of Jamyang Yeshi, through music and the use of multi-tracking recording technology.
At 2:30 PM, join author, former CEO of the National Urban League, and great grandnephew of inventor Lewis Latimer, Hugh B. Price, for a book talk about his memoir at the Lewis Latimer House in Queens.
At 3 PM, head to the Museum at Eldridge Street for a performance of the Eyal Vilner Big Band. The band is true to its name—it is BIG. Seventeen musicians big! Led by Tel Aviv-born and New York-educated musician/composer/conductor Eyal Vilner, this concert features Vilner’s inventive arrangements of jazz classics as well as his original compositions.
Tuesday, February 18th
At 6:30 PM Join Village Preservation at their event, Illuminating Forgotten Histories: New York City’s Early Black Communities for Black History Month.
Wednesday, February 19th
At 3 PM, join a curator tour of the Skyscraper Museum’s exhibit HOUSING DENSITY: TENEMENTS TO TOWERS with museum president Carol Willis.
Poster House is hosting its College Night on Museum Fundamentals. Hear from LTL Principal Architect Marc Tsurumaki on how to design around an organization’s ideas and programs, Museum Director Julia Knight about building a mission from scratch and the basics of non-profit administration, and Education Director Samantha Hirsch speaks with Education Programs Manager Sierra Van Ryck.
