How to Make a Subway Map with John Tauranac
Hear from an author and map designer who has been creating maps of the NYC subway, officially and unofficially, for over forty years!
A brand new, otherworldly experience is coming to ARTECHOUSE, the immersive art space below Chelsea Market. Celestial is part of ARTECHOUSE’s Submerge series which explores the qualities of Pantone’s 2020 Color of the Year, Classic Blue. From earth, to water, to air, each ARTECHOUSE location across the nation will present a new, distinct, elemental experience related to the unique qualities of Classic Blue this fall. In New York, Celestial will take visitors out of this world. Untapped New York Insiders will get free access to several showings of Celestial this November.

The ARTECHOUSE team interprets PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue as a restful color, one that brings a sense of peace and tranquility. The new installations seek to do the same, centering our thoughts and fostering resilience, in a time when New Yorkers are ready to reemerge, reconnect, and innovate. Celestial aims to push the limits of our perception of the color Classic Blue. This new installation specifically, draws on Classic Blue’s inspirational qualities to take visitors beyond the skies.
