8. Mixed-Media Exhibition by Allen Thomas Ball in Garment District
On display in a street-level window at 215 West 38th Street is a mixed-media installation consisting of 10 works crafted by New York-based artist Allen Thomas Ball. The installation is presented as part of the Garment District Alliance’s Space for Public Art program, which showcases artists in unique locations.
On display through April 22, the installation features work created with natural materials such as dust, clay, iron, charcoal, ash, asphalt, insect nests, discarded items, and found objects. Each piece seeks to encourage its viewers to think more deeply about the planet and the current trajectory of our climate.
