Your journey through Monet’s life and work will take you through three different rooms, each a unique experience. First, you enter the studio, a space filled with displays that explore Monet’s life, struggles, and inspirations. In this room, you’ll learn about Monet’s blindness in 1922, the techniques he used in his paintings, how he conceived of his art, and the eventual destruction of some of his paintings in 1925.

Next, you begin to enter the world of Monet’s paintings by crossing into the garden. This space features a re-creation of the world-famous gardens at Giverny in Normandy, France. Monet’s arrival in 1883 would eventually bring worldfame to the quiet, provincial viallge. In the garden room, the physical 3-D world melds with the digital as Monet’s paintings are displayed through interactive projections. Your movements and interactions with the screens affect what you see here. As you cross a bridge drenched in flowers, Monet’s iconic waterlilies float beneath you.
