On this 4-hour experience taking place August 26th at 8:30 am ET, you and a small group of intrepid photographers, with any level of experience, are invited to wander throughout the multiple levels of the William Ulmer brewhouse. You are free to explore and shoot on your own or take part in group light painting and long exposure sessions. Professional photographer Andrea Phox and her assistant will be on hand the entire time to offer any help you may need, whether it’s deciding what file format to shoot in, choosing the right ISO, F-Stop, or shutter speed, or helping with your tripod.
The landmarked brewhouse was built in the late 1800s and has served multiple purposes throughout the ensuing decades, but has remained largely dormant for the past 50 years. Now, the historic site is set to be restored and converted into much-needed housing by DXA Studio. This new photo tour offers the rare chance to go inside the unrestored building and capture it in its raw form before it transforms.
The many interesting visual elements of the space like like old canvas conveyor belts, rooftop city views, and a brick facade, you can experiment with macro photography, infrared photography, long exposures, light painting, and panoramics.
