Join Untapped New York’s Chief Experience Officer Justin Rivers to celebrate the birthday of Chief Engineer Emily Roebling while exploring the Brooklyn Bridge at sunset. As you walk to the center of the span, you’ll learn how Emily became an unlikely surrogate Chief Engineer and led the final phases of bridge construction, hear about the joyous festivities of opening day, and visit sites where the Roeblings are remembered today.

Explore the site of the proposed QueensWay, a linear park and cultural greenway that will take over a 3.5 mile stretch of the former LIRR Rockaway Beach Branch through Central Queens. Join members of the Trust for Public Land and Friends of the QueensWay for an urban hike through the first two phases of the park where you’ll see railway remnants and enjoy the summer foliage as learn about future plans for the in-progress path.

September 29th – Behind the Scenes Tour of the New Victory Theater
