Untapped Cities to Present on The Digital City at APA Chicago Conference

Untapped Cities founder Michelle Young, Untapped Cities digital media strategist Alley Lyles (formerly with NYC Digital, part of the Mayor’s Office) and Frank Hebbert, director of Open Plans, will run a workshop at the 2013 American Planning Association Conference on The Digital City: Best Tools & Practices. Geared towards local organizations and smaller cities, the workshop will include:

  • An overview of social media platforms as used for advocacy
  • Case studies of best practices from NYC Digital on social media tools for city agencies
  • Open source platforms for city planning and non-profit advocacy
  • Tools for growing presence and reaching the right audience, as learned from the media industry.
