One might expect such a patriotic tribute to have been painted by oh, say, an American… but not the case: Sao Paulo street artist/muralist Eduardo Kobra is responsible for this technicolor display of historical affairs. Good thing too – that red white and blue was getting old. The commissioned piece was unveiled on Independence Day 2012 and can be found at 1255 La Brea Ave in Los Angeles.  There’s a Starbucks across the street to grab a drink and hang out with it for a minute.
Statement by Mr. Kobra:
“My intention is to provoke and delight, with bright colors, showing once again that art and democracy, remain fundamental to art and life as a whole”  – KOBRA
Who: street artist/muralist Eduardo Kobra
Where: 1255 La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, CA
