See Etheral Photos of Washington Heights Inside a Historic Church
Meet photographer Emon Hassan and explore the photographs in his pop-up exhibit for "I Dream of the Heights"!
ARTECHOUSE NYC and NASA have created an immersive experience that lets you experience the wonders of deep space without leaving New York City. The underground art space’s new show, “Beyond the Light,” uses data and visuals captured by the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) to create a mesmerizing multi-sensory, immersive experience. Located in the former boiler room of Chelsea Market, the experience reveals elements of the universe that are invisible to the naked eye. Check out a few of the breathtaking images you’ll see in the photos below, captured by one of our Untapped New York Insiders on a recent trip that was free for Insiders!
In the show, guests will get to stand in awe as crisp, colorful images of celestial formations including the Cosmic Cliffs, Tarantula Nebula, Cassiopeia A, Stephan’s Quintet, and the Pillars of Creation take over every inch of floor and wall space.
The 25-minute experience is set to an original musical score that further enhances the transportive experience. In addition to the main show, there are six supporting installations that further explore the celestial bodies of our solar system. These installations take a closer look at the moon, heliophysics, the Mars rover, climate science, and more NASA technology.
You can purchase tickets to experience Beyond the Light here! Untapped New York Insiders enjoy free admission to select dates of ARTECHOUSE experiences. Not an Insider yet?
