The awesomely quirky folks at Atlas Obscura are launching a series of talks called the Wanderlust School of Transgressive Placemaking. Every Tuesday in June, they will host a discussion about the issues involved in urban exploration–trespassing, the risks and rewards of urban spelunking, and more. Join in on the fun at Acme Studios, 63 N 3rd Street, Brooklyn. Doors open at 7:30pm, talks start at 8pm. $12 advance tickets + cash bar.

In the past, Atlas Obscura has led us on explorations of the poison cauldron of Newtown Creek, taught us about perverse relics (including Napoleon’s penis), brought us inside the Livingstone Masonic Library, and even out to the ruins of Bannerman Island, a munitions facility built as a castle in the Hudson Valley. Check out their Facebook page for more upcoming events and follow them on Twitter @atlasobscura.
