Have you ever dreamed of sharing a cocktail with Don Draper? Or a croissant with Holly Golightly? How about a cup of tea with Jimmy Fallon? This weekend at Peter Luger Steakhouse in Brooklyn, one of the oldest restaurants in New York City, you can make that dream a reality thanks to Madam Tussauds. As restaurants welcome indoor diners at 35% capacity in New York City, the steakhouse has filled some of its empty dining room seats with a selection of celebrity wax figures. These famous mannequins will help real-life customers maintain social distance while enjoying a unique dining experience.

When you enter the iconic steakhouse, Al Roker is there to greet and usher you upstairs. Jon Hamm as Mad Men character Don Draper is perched at the bar with a signature old-fashioned in hand. Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon, Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and Michael Strahan are seated in the dining room. Using mannequins to fill up the dining room is a tactic many restaurants have used during the pandemic, though few have been as star-studded as this.

“The restaurant industry is vital to New York City’s economy, and it’s been particularly hard hit this past year”, said Vice President of Peter Luger, Daniel Turtel. “We’re excited to welcome diners back indoors at 35%, and thought this would be a fun, safe way to fill some of the seats that need to remain empty as we continue to fight the pandemic. It has been wonderful working with the fabulous team at Madame Tussauds New York.”

These celebrity figures will only be hanging out at Peter Luger Steakhouse through Monday, March 1. You can make your reservations online here. If you don’t get to catch these big names at the restaurant, you can see them on their return to Madame Tussauds New York, which is now open. The attraction is offering a special price for locals, and tickets can be booked online here!
