For the 2014 FIGMENT Festival on Governors Island, Inhabitat reports that the City of Dreams Pavilion, a visitors lounge, will be made of thousands of discarded cups collected all over New York City. Dubbed “Governor’s Cup,” the pavilion is designed by CDR Studio and inspired by tape-lace crochet. The structure will be connected by cables to nearby trees but will move and make a “soothing” sound with the wind.
