Coffee Tasting Class & Roastery Tour at City Boy Coffee
Sample a diverse selection of coffees sourced from around the globe, then roasted right here in New York City!
From the recently toured Mast Brothers Chocolate Factory to the cities largest record store, Rough Trade, the unique offerings in Williamsburg, Brooklyn never fail to impress. The Arm Letterpress, our most recent addition to the list, is a public access printing press studio.
In addition to a commercial studio, The Arm is unique in that it serves as a public access studio, allowing use of its presses after an introductory class.
The Arm Letterpress was founded in 2004 by Daniel Morris–a fourth generation printer–to house and use his presses. A year later he converted The Arm into a public access space. With a vast collection of movable type and several presses, most notably Vandercook Proof Presses, the space is truly a haven for anyone with a fascination for design, vintage production, or simply looking for a unique experience.
There’s always a wide range of individuals at The Arm Letterpress. On our visit, there were artists working and a couple crafting unique wedding invitations. The collaborative environment of the studio is reinforced by an ink cooperative–to join one must simply purchase a container of ink for the co-op.
