Coffee Tasting Class & Roastery Tour at City Boy Coffee
Sample a diverse selection of coffees sourced from around the globe, then roasted right here in New York City!
For an unconventional and un-Starbucks like coffeeshop experience, check out the D’Espresso on 42nd Street and Madison, just near Grand Central and Bryant Park. It’s actually sideways. The floor, ceiling and back wall are canvassed with books. A wood parque floor is on the left wall instead, while light fixtures protrude from the right wall.
I liked how the print extended even behind the counter:
D’Espresso began on the Lower East Side and this midtown shop is only 500 square feet. Anurag Nema, the founder of nemaworkshop, designed the interior, and according to the New York Times, owner Eugene Kagansky has plans for an upside down one next.
