Earlier this year I found out about a contest that Doodler’s Anonymous, an online home for spontaneous art, was hosting. The rules were simple. “Just choose a magazine ad and doodle it up. Have a blast at the expense of the print advertising world.” This was right up my alley. I found this great Westin ad with a lot of white space, which was really eye catching. It was fun making the characters interact with the doodle and have the doodle work with and against other elements in the ad. In the end I just missed submitting my doodle to the contest by minutes. But all is not lost, I still have you guys to share it with.
