Things to Do This Week in NYC: Nov. 20 - 27
Discover all the ways you can rediscover NYC!
Try your hand at a hi-tech, tabletop shuffleboard experience at NYC’s latest shuffleboard bar in Manhattan!
This isn’t your grandma’s shuffleboard. At Electric Shuffle, a newly opened tabletop shuffleboard bar at the corner of 30th Street and Broadway, the classic game—typically associated with cruise ship decks and retirement homes—is reimagined as an exhilarating, hi-tech, social experience. The bar offers New Yorkers a new way to spend a night out while enjoying delicious food and drinks, fun music, and a bit of competition.
Electric Shuffle isn’t the first bar in New York City to feature shuffleboard tables, but the tables here are unique. Through years of research, development, and testing, the UK-founded company built a custom table with hi-tech features that enhance the gaming experience. Cameras track every puck move and keep score so players can focus on the fun while playing a variety of interactive team-based games. At each of the 13 shuffleboard tables, cameras also capture player movements so you can see instant replays and share videos of the most special moments.
In addition to the high-voltage gameplay happening at the shuffleboard tables, the bar offers a full menu of shareable bites and creative cocktails. Sip on a Salted Caramel Espresso Martini or a Spicy Lucy margarita (featuring in-house jalapeno-infused tequila made daily) while munching on wings and Truffle Parmesan Fries. Decor elements like a pink staircase, glittering gold disco balls, and a color-changing, neon turbine wheel inspired by vintage power stations—a signature across all Electric Shuffle locations—create a playful yet cozy atmosphere.
Electric Shuffle is located on the second floor of 44 W 30th Street. Floor-to-ceiling windows on the perimeter of this 10,000-square-foot space allow gamers to enjoy sweeping views of the Empire State Building for a uniquely New York experience. Electric Shuffle has six other global locations in Austin, Dallas, London, Manchester, and Leeds. You can reserve a table for two to 20 people on the Electric Shuffle website.
