New Film Shows How Art Brings Life to Green-Wood Cemetery
Discover how the living and the dead make Green-Wood Cemetery a vibrant part of NYCs cultural scene!
Join Brick & Wonder and Untapped New York for a virtual tour of the Noyes House in New Caanan, CT. The Noyes House was designed in the International style of architecture by Eliot Noyes, and built in 1955 by Borglum & Meek of Wilton, Connecticut. It was the second New Canaan house that Noyes designed for his own family to live in.
The Noyes House currently contains a collection of artwork curated by Blum & Poe, Mendes Wood DM and Object & Thing, so this tour presents a unique opportunity to experience contemporary art and design in an iconic residential setting.

Matthew Wood of Mendes and Wood will lead the virtual tour, alongside Abby Bangser, Founder of Object & Thing, and noted architectural photographer and Brick & Wonder member, Michael Biondo. The exhibition brings together just over eighty works from thirty-four international artists and designers, including Lucas Arruda, Lynda Benglis, Heidi Bucher, Sonia Gomes, Green River Project LLC, Mark Grotjahn, Kazunori Hamana, Sheila Hicks, Daniel Steegmann Mangrané, Antonio Obá, Gaetano Pesce, and Faye Toogood, among others.

Though the exhibition has received overwhelming interest and is now fully booked throughout its duration, Untapped New York Insiders along with Brick & Wonder members and guests will be able to experience this tour remotely via Zoom, in the deeply knowledgeable hands of Matthew and Michael, both experts in the house and exhibition. Michael even briefly lived there!
