Tomorrow at noon, join us for a third course of John DeSanto’s virtual memoirs, detailing his storied career in New York City’s iconic dining establishments. DeSanto was the Maitre’d at the Rainbow Room and was one of the servers that opened up Windows on the World in the original World Trade Center. On this virtual trip we will visit the Four Seasons Restaurant where he will tell us what it was like to be Assistant Manager and Captain in one of the most powerful lunch rooms in New York.
To quote John, “I will be dropping names like bombs for more than a half hour. I was part of an amazing team in an iconic dining room that won the James Beard Award for most outstanding restaurant while I was there.” John served everyone from Philip Johnson to Soupy Sales and he will tell us all about it. Of course, with his trademark storytelling and humor John will come complete with photos and ephemera to accent his presentation.
